Proverbs 3:11-12

10 November 2009 By Peter Young | TinyURL TM

My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. (Proverbs 3:11-12, New International Version)

Divine discipline and rebuke is given in love and must neither be despised nor rejected. This should also be true for those who give or receive human discipline and rebuke.

1 Corinthians 2:16

“For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16, NIV)

May the mind of Christ my Saviour
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.
