On 1 March 2010, we welcome the beginning of both the 3rd month of the year and also the third year of Peter’s Pithy Pointers. Therefore, on a more personal note, I would like to share with you another project that I will be undertaking in the days ahead, in addition to the writing of the weekly blog.
Introduction (Note – dated December 2008!)

This time three weeks ago (22nd November 2008), Betty’s book “Before I Fall Asleep” had been launched and Betty was busy signing copies of the book. Since then she has signed many more copies and people have always been asking me “What about you, when is your life story coming up?” I always gave them a vague answer.
Yesterday (Friday, 12 December 2008) a title for the book came buzzing through my mind, “After She Falls Asleep”. Of course, it is possible that I may fall asleep before Betty. If so, the book will never be written and Betty may be very surprised to read these two paragraphs as she clears up my desk!
And so, at present, I can write no further, but I commend my dear Betty and myself into our Heavenly Father’s loving care as we both wait for our time to fall asleep.
11.30pm Tuesday 8 December 2009
My very dear Betty fell asleep peacefully at 3.30pm today. And so my story begins. For the first time in my life, I will be keeping a diary. I shall use Betty’s five-year diary which ends on 31 December 2011. God willing, that day might be a suitable date for concluding “After She Falls Asleep”.
Please pray for the Lord’s guiding hand as I venture into the writing of this book.
