47. Blotted out

12 December 2011 By Peter Young | TinyURL TM

There may be times in our lives when this message is very relevant.

1. God’s Command
This was given to us through the apostle, Peter, in Acts 3: 19, King James Version:
19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

2. Our Petition

Psalm 51:1, King James Version
1Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Psalm 51: 9, NIV
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

3. God’s Answer
Isaiah 43: 25, NIV
25 “I, even I, am he who blots out

your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more.

Isaiah 44: 22, King James Version
22I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

(In his great love, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, “who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree” and rose again, that our sins may be blotted out)

4. God’s Promise
Revelation 3: 5, NIV

5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
