25. GOD’S BLESSINGS (1)

1. GOD BLESSES

a) The Man Who Does Not Walk in the Counsel of the Wicked
1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

b) Those Who Take Refuge in God
2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

c) He Whose Transgressions are Forgiven
32:1 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

d) The Man Whose Sin the Lord Does Not Count Against Him
32:2 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

e) The Nation Whose God is the Lord
33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.

f) Their Children Will be Blessed
37:25-26 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. v26They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.

g) The Man Who Makes the Lord His Trust
40:4 Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.

h) He Who Has Regard for the Weak
41:1 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.

i) Those Who Dwell in God’s House
84:4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.

j) Those Whose Strength is in God
84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.

k) The Man Who Trusts in God
84:12 O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

l) Those Who have Learned to Acclaim God
89:15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord.
