49. GOD’S CREATION (2)
We continue our study on God’s creation.

3. GOD’S CARE FOR HIS CREATION

a) You Care For The Land
65:9-13 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. v10You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. v11You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. v12The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. v13The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.

104:24-30 How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. v25There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number – living things both large and small. v26There the ships go to and fro, and the leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. v27These all look to you to give them their food at the proper time. v28When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. v29When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. v30When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.

4. GOD’S CREATURES PRAISE THEIR CREATOR

a) Let The Heavens
96:11-13 Let the heavens rejoice, let all the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it; v12let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; v13they will sing before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the people in his truth.

b) Let The Sea
98:7-9 Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. v8Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; v9Let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

c) Praise The Lord From The Earth
148:7-10 Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, v8lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, v9you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, v10wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,

5. MAN – RULER OVER GOD’S CREATION
8:3-9 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, v4what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? v5You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honour. v6You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: v7all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, v8the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. v9O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
104:24 How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

Our Heavenly Father And The Birds Of The Air

Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
